[edit] Government RP
The Government RP is a roleplaying situation in which players create their own party in an attempt to gain power in the world government.
After years of separation and general destruction the human race has managed to unify under one general government known as the "Human Republic". But of course this was a huge undertaking and the general setup of the government is still under debate. Currently only one major organization, the Human Senate, has been created and the populace still needs to decide which representatives they wish to send to this new government. This is a truly open assembly. All former political parties are now powerless as their constituents now consist of the entire world rather than the country they were once limited to. It is the perfect time for new political policies to enter the playing field, a perfect time for taking power.

In the event of a proposal, each creator chooses which way their party votes. In general all of the senators follow exactly what the party leader says.
251/500 votes are needed for the passing of a bill.
The general layout should look like this:
- Name:
- Body:
- Redrafts:
Redrafts contain any changes mentioned by another party and agreed upon by the party proposing the bill. There can only be one change per bill announcement.
[edit] Passed Bills
[edit] Human Republic Immunity
[edit] Body
That the Human Republic be immune to all wars and personal conflicts that may occur between former nations. The bill also states that the Human Republic's main government offices be guarded against terrorist attack, or other threats. The bill proposes that each member of the Senate or any legislative body have a personal bodyguard to prevent assassination attempts. Although the world may be unified, it is still a dangerous place.

[edit] Senate Mediation and Executive Status Act
[edit] Body
The Senate Mediation and Executive Status Act, henceforth SMAESA, sets out to create a stable environment in which the Senate can meet and vote on important issues during times of peace and crisis. The SMAESA would establish an "executive" senator, known as the Senate Executor, who would gain a second vote in, and ONLY in, circumstances where a tie vote has occurred. It would also establish the creation of an presiding officer for the senate, a Speaker of the Senate who would control the floor, preside over debates, decide the order in which bills are to be voted on, and to be in charge the procedural and administrative duties of the Senate. The SMAESA also would create a position for Senate Secretary who would be in charge of managing, and maintaining the Senatorial Hall of Records. The Senate Secretary's position shall be overseen by both the Executor Senator and the Speaker of the Senate but the position is granted for 3 Senate Sessions. Members serving one position may not hold another position, no matter the circumstances. The position of Senate Executor is given to the party with the least number of senators. The position of Speaker of the Senate shall rotate between parties after each session, so that no single party ever gains and retains full control of the senate so long as other parties remain. The position of Senate Secretary will be voted upon by the Senate. This bill nominates the Machinators to be the first Senate Secretary to be voted upon with a "Nay, Aye, or Present" vote after the passing of this bill. To summarize:
- 1. The creation of an Senate Executor who, in cases of tie votes, casts a second deciding vote in the event of a tie. Also, in conjunction with the Speaker of the Senate, oversees the Senate Secretary.
- 1a. May not hold any other major Senate positions for as long as they hold this title.
- 2. The creation of a Speaker of the Senate who will control procedural and administrative tasks. This role will rotate each senate session to the next party in line.
- 2a. May not hold any other major Senate positions for as long as they hold this title.
- 3. The creation of a Senate Secretary who shall oversee the Senatorial Hall of Records, take logs of all Senate proceedings, and getting coffee for the Senate Executor and the Speaker of the Senate, should they choose to exercise that right.
- 3a. May not hold any other major Senate position for as long as they hold this title. Remains in the position for 3 Senate Sessions before a new nomination and voting process begins.
- 3b. One party may not hold this position more than 3 times consecutively, but can be re-elected if terms are non-consecutive.

[edit] Three Branches, Revised Edition Bill
[edit] Body
The government shall be structured into three branches. These branches' names shall be named the Executive, Legislative, and Judiciary. The Executive shall be headed by a President. This President shall be re-elected every four years. He may veto a bill that is approved by the Senate, forcing it back to the Senate. However, if 4/5ths of the Senate agree upon the bill, it will still pass. The Legistlative shall be made up of the Senate. The Senate shall remain as it is, made of 500 Senators elected by the populance every four years, to coincide with the re-election of the President. The Judiciary shall be made of multiple courts, headed most prominently by the Supreme Court. The Judiciary shall handle all criminal cases, and also determine what is and is not allowable if the law is too vague on the matter. The Supreme Court shall consist of seven Judges, each having their position for life. These Judges must first be both nominated in the Senate, and achieve a majority win before being approved by the President.

[edit] Rejected Bills
[edit] Bill for the creation of Three Branches
[edit] Body
We propose that we create three branches of government, which shall be the Executive, Legistlative, and Judiciary. All of these branches will have checks and balances on each other.
- The Executive shall be headed by a Council of Five. These five split up the power of the Executive branch, and must have a majority of agreement on a particular action. They will have the 4/5ths agreement to veto a bill, and 3/5th agreement to approve a bill.
- The Legistlative shall be made of one House. This House will be the Senate, currently known as the Human Senate.
- The Judiciary shall have a Supreme Court, with 13 Judges instead of just 9. These Judges shall have their position until they die, and must be voted in by the other Judges, while first winning the majority nomination in the Senate, and the Council of Five.
