Google gets chatty with AIM

Google has announced that it’s now offering an integrated chat inside Gmail allowing you to chat with your AIM friends without loading the AIM/AOL client. You must have an AIM account for this to work.

Here is how it works, you sign into Gmail chat. Then you select the drop down menu under “options” and the “sign into AIM” option appears. Then you sign in with your name and password. You should be able to see your friends in your contact list. Pretty cool!
