You can pee for a quarter in NY

You pop in your quarter and you get access to a new pay toilet. You then have 15 mins to get your business done before the door unlocks and open. Better hurry!!

According to the New York Times, New York City is placing 20 pay toilets around a part of the city. They are the size of a newstand and will be open in the day and closed at night to prevent people sleeping inside. There is a min. and max. weight for the door to lock. The min. being 45 pounds to prevent small children and the maximum being 550 which still allows two people to be inside. I can only think of one reason why two people would want to be there together but lets hope its there to allow helpers for those who need assistance. The toilet cleans itself between users with a water and disinfectant wash. It will be interesting to see if this system will work or fail.
